The Deputy President has portfolio responsibility for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance.

Professor Kulkarni is responsible for academic leadership in the development, coordination and implementation of curricula and instruction within the university. In this role the Deputy President ensures that academic planning and delivery relating to curricula, research, teaching, creative activities and related academic service requirements are of the highest standards; that service to students is of superior quality and that there is development and advancement of the academic staff.
