DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAMMES
Leadership Development
The leadership programme is designed to prepare all student leaders who aspire to take office in any leadership capacity. The programme provides adequate and relevant training that will assist students in performing their duties successfully.

Students are exposed to such workshops as managing finance, dining etiquette, protocol, public speaking, time management, conflict management, communication and interpersonal relationships among others. The residential annual retreat is held at the end of the second semester.

Orientation
Orientation is the process of helping students learn the history traditions, educational programmes, academic requirements and the student life of the institution.

At UTech we consider orientation to be a very important part of the introduction for new students to University Life. Hence, we believe all students entering the University for the first time should participated in the week of activities, held each year during the first week of the semester.

Mentoring
The mentoring programme was developed to provide final year students with out-of-classroom learning experiences to enhance their professional growth and development.

The programme is coordinated through the Office of Student Services in collaboration with the Alumni Office.
