The Accommodation Unit is
comprised of a team of dedicated and caring professionals,
delivering residential services to our students and staff.
The Accommodation Office is located on the first floor of
the Students Services Building.
The University of
Technology, Jamaica, currently provides on campus
accommodation for a total of four hundred (400) students.
Two hundred and nine (209) spaces are allocated to females,
and one hundred and eighty-nine (189) to males. Currently,
there are two male Halls, Farquharson Hall, which is the
largest, and Hall F. There are four halls allocated to
females, Halls A, B and E, and Garvey Hall, which is the
largest. Each Hall has a Resident Manager, who is a member
of the University staff. The Resident Managers are assisted
by a student management committee team, which is headed by a
Resident Assistant.
Applications
Boarding is available for Full-time and Summer students
Boarding forms, are available from November 1 - January 31,
from the Front Desk, Administrative Building, University of
Technology, Jamaica or from our Website at
http: //www.utechjamaica.edu.jm.
Completed forms
with a certified photograph of the applicant must be
submitted to the Admissions Office by the 31st January of
each year.
Residential Halls are
closed at the end of each semester break. Housing for the
summer usually begins in June and ends in August. Resident
students requiring accommodation during this period must
submit an application one month before the break and pay the
prescribed fee.
Summer students interested
in on campus accommodation should submit applications within
the same period as full-time applicants. (November-January)
The University reserves
the right to terminate the boarding privileges at any time,
for any student whose conduct is considered detrimental to
other students or to the University.
