| Registration
Periods
Registration normally takes
place on two occasions during the academic year. Following are
the periods:
- September, usually during
the week immediately preceding the commencement of the
first (Christmas) term for full-time and part-time/day
release and evening students, who enroll in programmes
offered during the official academic year from September
to June;
- Between mid-June and early
July for programmes delivered during the fourth
(mid-summer) term;
For the 2003/2004 Academic
Year, NEW students and RETURNING students from August
18-22.
Registration
Hours
- Registration takes place
between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. each day.
- Each student will receive
a Registration Schedule, which outlines the exact date and
time of registration.
- Registration dates for
programmes delivered during the fourth term are announced
by individual schools.
- All students must complete
the registration process.
- All relevant fees must be
paid before registration.

Late
Registration
Applicants who, for
unforeseen circumstances, are unable to register at the
appointed date and time must formally advise the Registrar no
later than the original registration date.

How
to Register
On the day of registration,
the student must proceed to the University's Central
Registration Centre with the registration documents and
paid-up bank vouchers for registration.
ID Card Processing
A valid ID Card indicates
that a student is duly registered for the academic Year 2002/2003
or for the duration of the programme. An ID Card gives
students access to the University facilities and services such
as the University Library, the Computer Laboratories and other
areas of the campus.

Part-time
students may also pay on a programme hour or special rate
basis.
Make-good students
are required to pay on a subject-by-subject basis.
Some schools
/ labs may have other lab material or special project fees.
