This Conference is being hosted in the
context of the World Summit on Sustainable Development, the
recognition of the special circumstances that effect Small Island
Developing States and Territories and the role of academic
institutions in this scenario. The Organising Committee would like
to attract quality papers for presentation at the Workshop Sessions.
These will be structured to give all participants the opportunity to
contribute to the discussion and development of important current
issues facing these states and territories.

The four sub-themes for this
Conference are:
- Land Management and Land
Information
- Community-Township/Urban-Rural
Development
- Architecture and Design
- Technology and Resources
How to Submit Papers
Abstracts of between 300 and 500
words should include a cover page consisting of:
- The title of the paper - Author,
and affiliation - E-mail address, telephone and fax numbers
The document should be in Microsoft
Word, on letter size paper, and double-spaced. The font should be
sharp. It should be electronically transferred to the Conference
Secretariat as indicated below by March 31, 2005.
The article should not have been
published previously, nor should it be up for consideration
elsewhere. Authors should indicate clearly to which of the four
sub-themes their paper relates and whether they will need any
audio/video facilities in presenting their paper.
Notification of Acceptance
Notification will be sent by
electronic mail to reach the authors by
April 30, 2005. Successful
applicants must submit the full text of not more than 6000 words by
June 15, 2005.
The Committee reserves the right
not to consider any papers submitted in an incorrect format, or
after the closing date. Papers will only be included in the
programme after the author has registered for the Conference.
