The Caribbean School of Sport Sciences in the Faculty of Science and Sport at the University of Technology, Jamaica is pleased to announce the 7th Annual Caribbean Conference on Sport Sciences. The theme for this year’s conference is “Physical Activity & Health: Moving from Prescription to Prevention” and will be held on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at the University of Technology, Jamaica’s Papine Campus, Kingston, Jamaica.

The conference will explore the connections between physical activity (inclusive of exercise and sport) and health. We invite researchers to submit abstracts for presentation. Topics may address one or a combination of the following areas:

1. Exercise as Medicine
2. Fitness and Health
3. Physical Activity and Health
4. Physical Education
5. Physical Education and Sport for the Disabled
6. Recreation and Health
7. Sport Medicine
8. Sport Nutrition
9. Sport-Specific Illness and Injury
10. Other areas not listed but are related to the field of Sport & Exercise Science

The 7th Annual Caribbean Conference on Sport Sciences is expected to attract over 250 local and international participants including coaches, sport doctors, physical education teachers, sport managers/administrators, athletes, students and sport agents, among other sport professionals.
