The Technology Transfer Centre (TTC) is a
system or Mechanism used to bring to practitioners the techniques and
devices that others create or practice. It focuses on bridging the gap
that sometimes exists between research and practice.

MISSION
The PIH – Technology Transfer Centre (TTC) of the University of
Technology, Jamaica has as its mission the following:
o To provide the basic infrastructure for
receiving and storing information on all relevant aspects of
Transportation
o To collect, package and circulate
information on transportation to all national and regional stakeholders.
o To actively seek out information on new
developments in the transportation sector, and share these through
seminars, workshops, conferences, and other training formats so that
developments will be based on the most current information available.
o To provide an active forum within which
ideas on transportation technology may be discussed and further developed
o To provide ongoing support to public
and private sector stakeholders in order to enhance their capacity to
develop, design and implement transportation related projects effectively
and efficiently
o To encourage best practices on all
aspects of transportation engineering through research
