GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS (GIS)

The GIS Laboratory provides computer facilities that are used in training students in the use of specialized software for spatial analysis

PIH CENTRE

The Pan American Institute of Highway (PIH) Center though still at its inception stage, provides a documentation center of learning resources including books, magazines, periodical, CDs research reports and manuals pertaining to highway construction, road design, construction and maintenance, transportation systems etc. that can facilitate research in the faculty and offer training services to the construction industry.

The Cartographic Laboratory

The School of Building and Land Management Cartographic Laboratory provides services associated with the preparation of maps and related graphics to academic community of the Faculty of the Built Environment. These services support the University’s activities in teaching and research. Users of the Laboratory facilities include faculty staff and students in Cartography, Land Surveying, Urban and Regional Planning

AUTOCAD LAB

Nested strategically on the extreme top floor, the CAD Lab has a bird’s eye view of the campus. This allows for prospective draftsmen to concentrate on drawings and encourages ones creative spirit to take flight.

The Lab is designed to provide training in Computer Aided drawing/drafting and its networked computers are all connected to the internet for research purposes. Students have immediate access to Auto CAD 2000.
