About the Programme
The Construction Engineering
Technician Certificate programme is a part-time day release
programme. It is designed to give general training in the major
aspects of the construction industry, which are appropriate for
persons already employed within the industry.
A Junior Certificate is awarded to
students who have successfully completed the first year. The second
and third years are done in association with the City and Guilds of
London Institute (CGLI) and therefore, cover the second year of the
part 1 and all of part 2 of the City and Guilds syllabus.
CAREER
OPPORTUNITIES
The graduates should be capable of:
Supervising on-site construction of
building works.
Supplying technical information
regarding alternative construction methods and techniques.
Helping to work out tender figures
by providing relevant site data.
Employment can be found in the
Construction Industry as Assistants to Project Manager, Site
Supervisor, Clerk of Works, etc.
