LAND SURVEYING TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATE


About the Programme

The purpose of the Programme is to prepare skilled land surveying technicians, who are specialist field surveying assistants and computer aided data processing and drafting specialists in land surveying services in Jamaica and in the Eastern Caribbean.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates are intended to be capable operatives who can join a survey field party or a drafting office and quickly become a productive member of the organisation, under the direct supervision of a professional surveyor.

Duration: 2 Years (Full-time)

Entry Requirements:          

In accordance with general University entry requirements, students entering the programme must have a minimum of 3 approved subjects including:

Mathematics,             English Language and one other from the following list at CXC Grades 1, 2 or (3 from June     1998) or GCE ‘O’Level minimum Grade C :Physics, General Science, Geography, Additional Maths, Engineering/Technical Drawing, Engineering Science, Information Technology,  Elementary Surveying.
