About the Programme
The
main objective of the programme is to provide training for persons
to be qualified for registration and licensing as Real Estate
Dealers, in accordance with the terms of the Real Estate (Dealers
and Developers) Act 1987, in the branches of sales and
rentals/leases and auctioning. It is also to promote and maintain a
high standard of professional conduct and work in the real estate
field.
These
persons will be required to participate in the Real Estate Salesman
course #100H, before proceeding to the Real Estate Dealers Programme
#160H.
Persons who hold the UTech Certificate for Estate Agents can have
the additional branch of Property Management added, provided that
they attend a 12 hour refresher course in Property Management.
Duration:
The Course is 160
hours in length, and is structured on a part-time basis over six
months (2 evenings per week).
Entry Requirements:

(a)
i. The UTech
Certificate for Estate Agents, or
-
-
ii. The Certificate of Completion of the Real Estate
-
Salesman Programme #100 hours.

iii. Possess such other qualifications as are deemed
-
equivalent and appropriate.

(b) To have been registered as a
Real Estate Salesman for at least two years, prior to sitting the
Dealers’ examination and employed on a full-time basis to a
licensed Real Estate Dealer for at least twelve months within the
two-year period.

(c) To be a Real Estate Salesman
or Dealer registered by virtue of section 48 of the
Real Estate (Dealers and Developers) Act, 1987.

division also offers
- The certificate for Estate
Agents – two years – day release - The certificate in Valuation
Practice – three years modular (4weeks per year)
Bachelor’s Degree
The LEVS division is currently
developing the BSc. in Land Economy and Valuation Surveying, which
should be offered in September 2003.
