MATRICULATION COURSE
PRE-REQUISITE COURSE OF STUDY (PCS)
- EESF1510
The Pre-requisite Course of Study is
intended to satisfy the international matriculation requirements to
pursue academic programmes which would lead to professional
Engineering status. Successful completion of this one-year
full-time course will qualify applicants for entry into the Bachelor
of Engineering in Construction Engineering Degree programme to be
delivered in the academic year 2001/2002.
The Pre-requisite Course of Study
is intended to:

Strengthen candidates’
understanding of specific concepts and analytical
techniques in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics;
□
Strengthen candidates’ ability
to analyse and synthesise information;
□ Provide
an opportunity for candidates to attain skills in complementary
engineering areas, e.g. graphical communications and information
technology.
NOTE:
Exemption from specific
subjects will be given to those candidates who possess A-level or
equivalent examination passes at Grade A or B in Mathematics,
Chemistry, Physics and General Studies.

1 Year (Full-time)
Entry
Requirements:
CXC/O-Level passes in English Language,
Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and any other
Technical Subject at General Proficiency
Grades 1 or 2
(Grade 3 acceptable from June 1998 sitting) or O-Level
passes at Grades A,
B or C or equivalent examination passes.
