RECREATIONAL & Intramural Sports

The University's physical fitness and recreational
  programmes share very specific objectives:-

  1. To enable students to achieve a level of physical fitness commensurate with the goal of the institution
  2. To provide a level of fitness that will enable our students to be alert, and maintain good health
  3. To establish the idea that physical fitness is a life long programme which will delay the aging process
  4. To provide an opportunity for fun and enjoyment; to learn basic skills that can be carried over into post-university life
  5. To develop a programme which will promote cultural development e.g. dance, drama, student productions, volunteers etc.

The Intramural Sports Program provides students from the different schools (faculties) and staff with the opportunity to compete against each other in an organized manner. The competitions are planned and coordinated by the University’s Students Union. Competitions are played in an atmosphere of pure enjoyment, where the emphasis is on participation. Both team and individual sports are offered.
