Welcome to the home page of the Department of Sport, University of Technology, Jamaica . The Department of sport is located against the backdrop of the foothills of Jamaica’s Blue Mountains. The complex is administered by a full time Secretariat, headed by Anthony Davis, Director of Sport.

Central to the sports facilities is an auditorium boasting 600 sq. ft of sprung timber stage floor with seating capacity for 1,100 persons, inclusive of a balcony with permanently tiered seating for 220. Here, there are courts for basketball, volleyball, squash, badminton, and floor space ideal for table tennis, judo, karate and other competitions.

Our other facilities include a half Olympic size swimming pool; outside courts for basketball, netball, volleyball; fields for football, track and field, and cricket; and an equipped gym for weights training.

The sport facilities are offered for rental to the public for events such as seminars, service awards, and sports competitions. The proximity of the different sporting areas to each other, offers a wonderful advantage to persons who want to utilize more than one area of the facilities.
