Statement from President re Industrial Action
Some lecturers did not deliver their lectures today at the University of Technology, Jamaica.
Members of administrative, technical and ancillary staff turned up for work as normal.
The university requests that students attend classes as scheduled until further notice.
I have invited the leadership of the University of Technology, Jamaica Academic Staff Union (UTASU) to a meeting at 3:00 pm today to discuss the current situation.
A further communique will be issued following this meeting.
