A team drawn from the Faculty of Education & Liberal Studies (FELS) executed for e-Learning Jamaica Company Ltd (e-LJ) a “Monitoring and Evaluation of the Tablets in Schools Pilot Project”. The Consultancy Unit for the College of Business & Management secured a Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) consultancy for the “Development of a Caribbean Regional Procurement Training Centre”, and a CARICOM consultancy for creating a “Regional Strategic Plan for ICT Services in CARIFORUM States”. Researchers in the Faculty of the Built Environment were provided with a grant from the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy in the United States to carry out the project, “Towards Property Tax Compliance: A Case Study of Attitudes toward paying property taxes in Jamaica”. PUBLICATIONS Volume 8 of the annual Journal of Arts Science and Technology (JAST) was published in November 2015. This issue of the journal carried 9 of 25 papers submitted by UTech staff and external contributors. JAST is posted online with EBSCOHost and on the University website. For Research, Technology and Innovation Day (RTID) 2016, the SGSRE in collaboration with the Corporate Communications Unit published, “Strategic Use of the University’s Research Development Fund to Support Impactful Research”, another in the series of RTID publications highlighting the research work done by the university, leading researchers, and the public impact of the research undertaken at UTech, Jamaica. The 2016 publication showcased 9 examples of high- impact research projects from across the University.
