• Mr Steve Jones formerly of Sybron Technology, USA donated US$100,000 worth of Endodontic equipment. • Food for the Poor donated several items of disposable supplies and sundries LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL LINKAGES AND COLLABORATIONS International Student Exchange: • In June 2015, a team from the University of Arizona visited the College and conducted a comprehensive/ intensive one-week training programme in Orthodontics, Laser Dentistry, and Dental Public Health. The College will also be collaborating with the University of Arizona to offer a certification in Dental Public Health. • Through the efforts of Professor Gary Glassman, Boston University is seeking to collaborate with the College of Oral Health Sciences to establish a residency programme, through which a resident would visit the College and assist with training and also with the establishment of a laboratory in Endodontics. • The College is working with the Pan American Health Organization to establish a “Centre of Excellence” in Oral Health. COMMUNITY SERVICE Over one hundred and thirty (130) Health Fairs and Outreaches were conducted during the period under review in communities all over the island. Outreach sessions in a number of communities in St Elizabeth, Trelawny, St James, Westmoreland and Hanover were conducted in collaboration with Great Shape Inc. Some 41,323 individuals received high-level Oral Health Care. Among the communities served were Chapleton, Irwin, James Hill, Clarendon, Port Royal, Riversdale, St. Catherine, Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth, Frome, Westmoreland, August Town, St. Andrew, Boscobel, St. Mary and many others.
