The Proficiency Test in English will be administered as follows:
Papine Campus - Thursday, July 03, 2025, 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. &
Papine Campus - Friday, July 04, 2025, 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. &
Western Campus - Thursday, July 03, 2025, 9:00 a.m. (Only)
Cost & Payment Details/Locations
The cost of the test is J$3,000.00. This fee must be paid before the day of the test. The following options are available for making payment:
Registration Requirement
All candidates must register online by Friday, June 06, 2025 before 12:00 am midnight, using the following link:

The Day of the Test
Candidates are required to bring the following to the test:
- the receipt showing English Language Proficiency Test as verification of fee payment
- a valid photo ID (school or work, passport, national ID, passport size photograph certified by a
justice of the peace or notary public); and
- a working pen and a number 2 pencil.
Papine Campus
Candidates should assemble
in Room 47C-3 Shared Facilities one (1) hour before the start of the test
Western Campus
Candidates should report to the Main Office 30 minutes before the test
Results
Results will be available at https://www.utech.edu.jm/seac/login.asp approximately two weeks after the
sitting of the test.
Important Notice:
Students have one opportunity to take the test; if you fail you must take Developmental English.
